Air/fuel ratio ↔ lambda
Lambda
1.000
Lambda uses a gasoline stoichiometric ratio of 14.7:1.
the conversions under the hood
the factors these converters use, for when you'd rather do it in your head at the parts counter:
torque: 1 ft-lb = 1.3558 Nm · 1 ft-lb = 12 in-lb
pressure: 1 bar = 14.504 psi · 1 kPa = 0.145 psi
temp: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32
mixture: AFR = lambda × 14.7 (gasoline stoich)
the afr conversion assumes gasoline's 14.7:1 stoichiometric ratio; e85 runs about 9.8:1, which is why tuners talk in lambda: 0.85 lambda means the same mixture richness on any fuel.
